Volunteers will be removing invasive plants from parks and natural areas, cleaning up trash and illegal dumpsites in neighborhoods and along waterways, planting native trees and shrubs to create habitat, and performing maintenance at restoration sites. The 2012 date is Saturday, April 21st.
Beach and Riverside Cleanup September 22nd, 2012: The annual Fall Beach Cleanup has been expanded into the SOLV Beach and Riverside Cleanup. The 2012 cleanup will include river and waterway cleanup projects, in addition to the Oregon coast beach cleanup projects. Many thousands of volunteers will clean up the beaches from the California border to the Columbia River – and work on shores of rivers, creeks, lakes and other waterways throughout Oregon to improve the quality of water that we use for drinking, recreation, agriculture and more.
