What is a SOLV Liaison?
As a statewide organization without regional offices and regional staff, SOLV relies heavily on a core group of Oregonians who volunteer their time and resources to help spread the word about SOLV’s programs to every corner of Oregon. We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to those who have helped in this effort.
These stellar advocates for SOLV’s mission have put exceptional time and effort into sharing SOLV with others in their corners of our state. Oregon is better for their efforts.

Guy DiTorrice, Lincoln County Liaison
Guy has been SOLV’s invaluable link to Lincoln County since 1999.
When Guy isn’t volunteering for SOLV, chances are he’s doing something
else to better Lincoln County, like serving on the Volunteer Fire
and Rescue Squad to the Chamber of Commerce board. His roots go
back deep into the area's economic development, and he serves as
one of Lincoln County’s fossil experts. In his "copious free time"
Guy also manages the coastal operations of the OSU Federal Credit
Union. He and his wife Chris live in Newport.

Crystal Shoji, Coos County Liaison
Crystal Shoji operates Shoji Planning and Development, which provides planning services to communities on Oregon’s South Coast. Her connections to both the South Coast and to the particular circumstances of rural coastal communities have been a great asset to SOLV. She is the former director of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, and has helped lead many cleanup and beautification efforts. She’s also very active in the Bay Area Rotary.

Thor Wegner, Clackamas County Liaison
Thor and his wife Barbara live in Oregon City, where they have helped organize the First City Cleanup and Enhancement project for many years. Thor helps SOLV connect to Clackamas County, and is a long-time SOLV volunteer. He doesn’t hesitate to roll up his sleeves when it comes to natural area enhancement, noxious weed eradication, and environmental stewardship.

SOLV is always seeking good liaisons to the many parts of Oregon. Liaisons typically connect with SOLV on an as-needed basis to help us become aware of community needs and to serve as our local resource and networker, helping us get the word out about upcoming projects and opportunities.
To get involved, send an e-mail to SOLV,
or call (800) 333-SOLV ext. 307.
